I was just curious. How many of you Taco eaters out there live in the Seattle area and who the hell are you? There may be something free involved.

Glasses of barolo?

Been planning to drop in on you at Angelo's for a while, but haven't made it yet. You there this w/e? It looks like it's about 30 seconds off our route home from where we'll be grubbing at Zeke's

Dave, Sounds like you enjoy the Nebbiolos. How about a nice Taurasi? I think the Aglianicos run a close second to the Nebbiolos, and sometimes are even on par. I'll be there this w/e and every weekend until i probably die. It's that damn work ethic.

free as in not aid or free as in not paid?

I'm in seattle (balard). I think i'm younger then the normal super taco demographic, though. Climb at index, leavenworth, uw rock, stone gardens and occasional alpine stuff and look something like this:

How about the rest of you?

The granite itself looks kinda like Squamish rock, but yeah, where is that?

edit:

You mean you have hair, are in shape, and actually climb? Instead of just mumbling about what you used to do back in the day? What are you doing here?

The water shot was taken in the Enchantments near Leavenworth. Great deep water potential up there if you don't mind the 5-10 mile/~5000ft approaches and climbing above fresh snow melt.

that one with the goat really does it for me, nice work!

" think i'm younger then the normal super taco demographic, though... and look something like this:

-hmm, I think i'm right in the center of the taco demographics, not much hair, but I did climb El cap in a day, in a gym on Sunday. That and 2 laps on the scuffinator night before last has me sitting here with sore elbows and shoulders and it's already thursday. I suspect my partner in Climb, the seventeen yr younger Melissa, is doing much better along about now...

The key to goat photography is to pee where you want them to stand.

I didn't mean to impugn anyone's climbing or hair growing ability. Just point out that, while I appreciate good food and drink, I wouldn't know a barolo if i walked right into one.

It would be cool to put some screen names to some faces, maybe meet some more seattle climbers some come on seattle people, post up.

I just booked a flight to Seattle, Nov. 6-7 for a training in Rites of Passage for youth. Should be interesting, don't know what I am doing the evening of the sixth, maybe I can meet one of you all at the climbing gym?

Peter, we actually met a few times years ago(eighties). I was probably hanging out with Yerian.
Actually I was thinking of hosting a get together of sorts for Supertopians here in Seattle. Like Ryan, I would like to put some names and faces together. More later, back to work, dinner guests will be coming in the door soon.

I'd sure like that. I'll be in Kuala Lumpur for all of the first week of November, though, so please don't plan it for then.

I know there are a few other ST folks in the area. Steve & Mimi are up here now, and Off White is not too far away. Tom (Mooser) hasn't posted much recently, but he's in Seattle. Can't remember who else, but I think I've seen posts from one or two more.

And Ryan, here's another goat for you. Not quite the gorgeous composition of your shot, but in the same general area, and slightly closer up...

I'd be down for a get together. I don't know nearly enough climbers in Washington.

And you think you're younger than most? How many sub-20 year olds are there on this site?
I can name at least one--------->Jamesellis
