Well, it's not exactly a tr TR, since we didn't tr anything, but I finally met up with T*R for some climbing. (And I always thought that would be a cool thread title, if I ever got to climb with her.) She's spending the summer in a nearby town, so on Thursday we went up to Teluride for a little fun.

We drove up near Bridal Veil Falls and walked over to the Pipeline Wall:

We roped up and climbed up the three-pitch Ame's Way:

We topped out:

And rapped off:

T*R's manicure got a manicure of its own:

It was really hot out, so we just chilled out for a bit. Then we climbed the first two pitches of Skylight Arete:

And we rapped down:

A view of Bridal Veil Falls:

Then we decided to call it a day. But another climbing party was on a route over to our right, and they talked me into trying it (them on the route):

I was stoked they told me to try it. The route was fun and I'll definitely climb it again.

But now it really was time to go, so we hiked out and saw some great evening colors:

Then we had a warm beer and tried to call Radical and tell him how much fun we had, while he probably worked all day (HaHa):

And drove back home.

It was a really fun day and we had perfect weather! Hopefully we will get out climbing together again before she heads back home.

ohhh! i love the trip report. excellent job CRR!

this was a totally fun day, and i hadn't been on multipitch for awhile. i felt super safe with CRR and had a blast. it's totally beautiful there! one thing that is really cool about the four corners area is the light at sunset. it's so pretty.

the conglomerate was really cool and so much different than sierran granite! i slept well that night for the first time all summer.

i put all the sunset shots on myspace. i love how this shot turned out - good idea!

what can i say? thank you again CRR. such a totally cool day.
we TOTALLY have to get out again soon! i have wednesday off... i think you work that day... i'll email you with my other days off for the following week

That cascading water was great. I could have sat there for hours staring at all the little droplets flung into the air, as each rock and pool threw the water in odd directions. It was like watching a campfire, only wetter and colder.

And if it wasn't so steep, I would have gotten in for a swim. But I didn't really want to take the 'express route' back down to town.
