L is great. Words she is a master of, do not describe her greatness. Smart, caring and with us at this campfire. I don't really believe in enlighten souls, but knowing her a bit, I may change my mind.
Man, I wish I could think and write like her. I somehow think she is a great climber as well. What a package.

Aaaaaawwwwwwwww....dang...you guys...you just brought tears to my eyes...and a big ol' smile to my heart.
You know how it is when halfway down the rap, your shirt gets sucked up in the belay device...and there you hang...halfway between heaven and hell? If feels like you're there forever...stuck...not moving...
I was kind of feeling like that this past month. I kept thinking that if only I didn't have that stupid shirt on...none of this would've happened.
Then I realized it would probably have been a nipple instead of a piece of shirt in that metal device, and I really started to appreciate the shirt deal.
Thanks for reminding me what a great campfire this is...and what a lovely group of people I've found to share my time with.
It's nice to be off belay....and home.

then you have a thought like this:

I am familiar with this L person;.....she's a good one...no doubt....and her being smarter, younger, stronger, and better in a bathing suit than myself........that don't bother me.....I'm over it.....everyone loves her......get used to it.....

I had intended to do an L appreciation thread on her upcoming birthday in August, but SS beat me to it. I'm lucky enough to be her close friend and one of her usual climbing partners.
L at Malibu Creek this past Feb.

hey there L.... say, i got to jump in here before it got to full... course, i know there is always room for more appreciation to those around us.... now, i dont climb and i have not met you, but everything we can learn from others is precious in ways that are always unique... here is some appreciation coming your way.... god bless, and have many a good climb!... and say: and have a happy birthday in aug, (as so i have just heard-tell here) :) (some family and step family birthdays make july and aug very busy around these parts, so i will send wishes your way, as well!)
