she sews my tattered clothes and doesn't baulk when i take the new clothes she buys me to goodwill.

she is our cheerleader when our 2 year old and 4 year old team up on us with avalanches of emotions.

she plants our garden and tends our chickens and prepares enriching meals most nights.

she receives my batch of coffee with a smile even though i probly didn't add enuf cream.

she keeps beers in the fridge and clean underwear in my drawer.

she insists that i go climbing when she see's the need in my eye.

she makes a beautiful home, turning the bread that i knead into handsome pastries.

she works way harder than i do. and keeps a better attitude through it all.

my wife. whom i love and appreciate and lean on in order not to fall down.

best of all she teaches our daughters how to be beautiful within and without.

Very poetic, and a nice read.

But you're still sleeping on the sofa tonight. :-)

I got me a Proverbs 31 woman just like Norwegian. Actually when i was reading his description i started getting frustrated because i thought he was shacking up with her. They probably just came from the same training camp.

emac, that kicks ass!!! I know how you feel. Very protective...what I do is pray everyday day for my son's health, and Mom. It helps.

Congrats, my boy is 3 1/2 weeks old, they're beautiful. Enjoy!

My wife got all depressed about the boy's difficulty in breastfeeding, don't let her get discouraged or depressed about that. As long as you pump, feed them breastmilk, it's all good.

Sometimes Dad can help, be there for her.

Congrats, dude. Tell Mom she's a star, it ain't easy what Mom's do. Nawmean?

Here's my boy John at 1 day old....

Norweigian, good idea for a thread. Sometimes we take our wives for granted, especially climbing folk. I try to remind myself how really lucky I am. I'm blessed with a very understanding and sharing wife.

I'm blessed, I wish everybody could be as happy in their lives.

Thanks bluering, et al. The past two days have been amazing. And my wife has shown once again her rock star colors.

To help keep this a pseudo climbing thread, since this is the taco stand, my new little girl was conceived the night before my last Valley trip with Jim_E...Apparently many great things were a result of that trip... including some great climbing ;-)

my first daughter, annapurna, was conceived in the 'mobile' dressing room at REI.

the day of her birth, i climbed eeyore's enigma at lover's leap for the first time (she was borne in the wee-hours).

in all of the home-birth pictures, by body is littered with those pre-goby pink spots all over.

you'd think i fell off a motorcycle, if it weren't for the big grins throughout.

another atta-wife - giving birth is very applaudable. i'm pretty sure us men know no equal struggle. not even eeyores.

I met her climbing, and so you can say we truly tied the knot. Knot a cheesy pun when you marry your climbing partner. She puts up with me. There's no one I'd rather my free time with or hold a conversation with. After I tore the kitchen apart last night to find a leak that I'd been putting off finding for too long, we were both able to laugh about the mess and the fact I didn't check to see if the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes before putting it out of comission along with the sink.

She even gets excited when she catches a fish.
