I changed the title because no one seemed to be looking at it.I hope there is some interest as I have spent the last 6 months working on it.

slow day 'cause it's such a nice day with everyone out in the "granite wilderness"...

...I'm trying to think of when June 6 is... a Friday (and one that I might actually free)...

Looks more than cool, 6 months is a long time. If I can't be there for the opening reception, I will be there for the exhibit. Perhaps you could take pictures etc. at the reception (kind of like a People's mag thing) and post them on ST to promote interest during the exhibit time. Sure you prob. already thought of that. Nice job Ken! Have you finished your house addition as well? You have been a busy man, now go climb something.

That is a great poster picture! Are they for sale? It would look great in my livingroom with the cedar ceiling and grey rock fireplace. LRL

Mtnmun,

I am almost done with the house. I have been working all winter to save some more money to finish it. It is kind of on standby right now. The exhibit has been taking a lot of my free time. I have three more events planned this year. The Facelift September 24-28, annual Ansel Adams art auction on October 15 and on November 8 a 50 year anniversary of the Nose celebration. I haven't climbed in a while and hope to this summer. This has been the longest stretch that I haven't in 37 years.

The last exhibit, the Glen Denny one, was fabulous.

I should be able to make the opening of this one. Looking forward to it.

As requested by email, I will add some details. The exhibit will be shown for nearly five months during the coveted summer slot in the Yosemite Museum adjacent to the Indian Museum. The exhibit is not permanent but I hope it will travel afterwards. Once the current lawsuits get figured out it appears that there will be a permanent climbing museum. The reception will feature a preview of the exhibit served with wine and appetizers. I expect a pretty good turnout with several dignitaries.

The exhibit will include photos, video and artifacts from the last 139 years of Yosemite climbing with special emphasis on the pioneers. I am trying to make it attractive and informative for the non-climber and the climbing veteran, a real challenge with limited space. I hope you can see it when it is up and that you enjoy it. So many people have helped and without their support it would not be happening.

Thanks,

Ken

P.S.Jaybro, I have my sons 6th grade graduation on the 4th and my daughters high school graduation on the 5th(She is Valedictorian).I can relate. I am very glad that the graduations didn't end up on the 6th as that date was chosen almost 8 months ago. Otherwise, I would really look like a cad.

Yo Ken...November 8th, 50th celebration of the Nose....that's my wedding anniversary!!!!! I got the angle on my wife....she says it's a go.....if we stay where we stayed for our honeymoon....top floor at the Ahwahnee, I think room 602, 1980. Last I checked the room was going for like $750.00/night!!! I think I paid like $99.00 in 1980. I told her C-4 was more like it. she wasn't humored. I'd like to make that celebration....what do they say, " once in a lifetime chance"? Hope to see you there, as well as the Facelift( good way to spend my 50th birthday)
Peace

So is there a poster of above or is it a one and only?
