Thank you LEB...
somebody has a lot more net knowledge than I do thats for sure. Any How, in response to your last post...
One way might be to use a system like digg.com in place. In fact that might work for this site and negate the need for some sort of "elite" site. Or better yet, add a filter of some kind so that you could decide to block certain members posts. Then you could post all the drible you wanted to and I could do the same and never our paths would have to cross. I think that would be the best way. But on that same token it would be nice if there was a way to post things that you didn't want the masses to read. That way you could discuss sensitive topics like where to bivy with out letting people like Jack Hof*ck in on the goods.

Locker, somebody.

Now, you are one the biggest idiots on this site. Maybe the biggest. So that said, I will no longer respond to any of your posts. I am going to pretend that I have a filter all ready in place which blocks all of your posts.

LEB,

Ask yourself why you dredged up that thread.

That's right, you know what I'm talkin' about.

Enough already said people over fifty shouldn't have sex.
I was laughing at that comment imagining the poor person getting older and giving that up out of principle and then having to live another fifty years without it.

Plus,
the whole nickname thing is a response to Russ' comments about not using your real name... Since my handle is my real name, I made a list of all my aliases so people will feel the proper distance.

"No matter HOW they try...

you have an ANSWER that is pretty much RIGHT ON..."

That's a problem?

so, virtual sibling, what is the functional difference between a copperhead and an alumahead, (the material difference is obvious) why use one over the other, and what tool would you use to take them to their full potential? This test is open book, ask your droogs!

I don't delete.
my handle is my 'real' name.

does that mean I'm really DMT, too?
I've seen his volvo smear dust notes, but not sure he really exists; is this a 'freddy's book,' conundrum?

"wootles,

I "dredged up" the post for two reasons

1. I think the issue of forum censorhip is an important one and it comes up here from time to time. In particular, the notion of controlling content on this site an important issue to discuss and consider.

2. I think the practice of deleting individual posts or whole threads is to be discouraged on this forum. Others have commented on this, as well. I would make an exception where someone asks a person to delete a thread because of personal reasons."

You have GOT to be kidding me. You take the time to call someone out for deleting a thread as if it's some sort of felony yet you will not take the time to email your senators about government and the lame stream media censorship.

I think it's more like 'hey, where did that thread about ME go?'. Otherwise you would have not bothered.

Ha ha! Nice try Lois. Let's not change the focus, this is not about me.

But...

Here are the organizations I belong to, subscribe to and contribute to:

moveon.org
commondreams.org
democracynow.org
sierraclub.org
maineimpeach.org
environmentmaine.org
savethechildren.org

And here is how I contact my reps:

Sen. Susan Collins
http://collins.senate.gov/public/continue.cfm?FuseAction=ContactSenatorCollins.Email&CFID=16070499&CFTOKEN=54644716
Sen. Olympia Snowe
http://snowe.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=ContactSenatorSnowe.Email

Rep. Thomas Allen
http://tomallen.house.gov/index.cfm?Do=ViewForm&SectionID=60&FormID=3&FormName=E%2DMail%20Tom

It's simple. No need to write snail mail. No need to keep detailed documents of correspondents, although, I often get reply letters from "the offices of...", albeit several weeks if not months afterwards.

I am also on the newsletter lists of these reps.

It's not that hard to do, Lois. I have to believe a "in your face", "aggressive", "outspoken" sort such as your badass self can figure out how to contact your own reps. Hell, the least you could do is sign an online petition, something, anything. Rather than just whine about politics and politicians DO SOMETHING.
So put up or shut up.

Well I'm sorry, Lois, I could type up their replies but I have no way to prove they are legit. So on that count I'm afraid I have nothing but my word. No one that knows me would question my word.

As for the organizations, I pay annual memberships to some and make donations to others. Save the Children is billed to my credit card monthly; I think it's about $40. This is to sponsor a child named Zahed. He lives in Bangladesh. As you say, it would not be wise to post credit card statements. I should add that I am not by any means wealthy.

"...and do, in fact, contact my NJ state senator..."
Well I'm glad to see you have at least that level of involvement, even if it is only on issues that affect you directly.

after thought edit: And, Lois, I'm not the one that started this thread so whether or not I do what I say is not the matter at hand. This thread is about exactly what you wanted: YOU.

Good grief Lois, untwist your panties. Woot didn't do any "self praise". Wootles was responding to your request for knowledge about what he/she? did. And it ain't stalking if someone calls bullshit on anothers comments. I guess you don't like "in your face" when its in YOUR face.

Dr. Taco is concerned that Lois doesn't know the meaning of the word 'predatory.' Using it to describe Wootles or anyone else on ST is a symptom of your narcissistic tendencies.

But more alarming is the disapearance of 'LEB lite.' Try a little harder Lois, because your attempts at feigning being hurt and offended ring false.

Someone with a female avatar recently asked whether Lois was just a troll. What do YOU say, Lois?
