Very nice Ricardol, you did a good job at capturing the atmosphere of a wall and the after wall endorphine buzz at the top. Makes me feel sorry I missed the season, can't wait for next spring.

Nice job. Well synched with the music.

I've been wanting to bring a vid cam up on my next wall. Currently, Premier is just taking up room on my hard drive. Maybe next year.

Thanks for sharing.

Cool video, well worth the wait for the download.

Why the reverso? I thought you were solo, were you autoblocking something? Do tell.

The first wall I ever bailed from, I was "guiding" my ex-girlfriend and my best friend from High school up triple direct. I lead all the pitches and hauled them all to, including right up Freeblast. They brought the kitchen sink including a video camera.

So they are shooting video and trading off the belay. I have video of them dozing off belaying me! Anyway, I screwed up on the way to grey ledges and failed to switch cracks cause I didn't see the fixed pin hidden in a bunch of grass. Instead I placed a bad pin, stood on it, and after awhile, it pulled. THe peice below it held but there was so much slack from my friends belaying me that I sailed for like 20-30 feet. I panicked and grabbed the rope and burned my hands badly.

I sucked it up and finished the next couple pitches to grey ledges where we took stock of our situation. Nobody else wanted to lead pitches and I was worried that my hands might fall apart in a day or two and we'd be screwed.

So we bailed.

But the weather was great and we had plenty of food and water so why hurry? The next morning we rapped to Heart ledge and got drunk, ate all the good food and shot video. Sun Bathing, smack talking. It was actually more fun than the previous two days of climbing!

Anyway, the drunken and off color footage got put together and somehow tacked on the end of a video I had shot of Nepal Trekking. When I had copies of that Video made for Christmas gifts, a few of those tapes had the El Cap footage added on by mistake.

Anyway the punch line is that I wound up giving my bosses boss, the vice president of the Concession's administration, this Nepal video with the EL Cap drunk party on it. I would have been embarrassed to show it to Coiler much less the guy who figured out if I got a raise or not each year.

Fortunately, he was a good sport.

Peace

This IS the next level of trip reports. You can't just spray anymore, you need footage to back it up. Very cool.

My favorite are the self-portraits, which get progressively more and more grim as the climb progresses. Until the summit: all grins. If that's not a big wall, I don't know what is.

Outstanding efforts on both the professional quality video and solo wall. You truly have taken 'it' to the next level.
