Compassionate, patient, helpful with Yosemite info, and as Karl pointed out, he engages LEB on meaningless threads in order to prevent the Lois-ification of other threads!

A toast (or five) to you Karl!

Good photographer too. But its the babysitting of Lois that will get him nominated for sainthood.

I am glad to see this thread start! KB is probably the most useful and important poster here, frankly. As a pro guide and a lifetime climber his presence here is really wonderful. He is a good photographer, a very good and really solid outdoorsman and climber. And his constant and fully engaged attempts to keep the ST on track are invaluable for all of us. This forum and Yosemite climbing are ever so much better because of you, Karl. And as you always say, Peace!

best to you Karl, Peter Haan

Of course a wise man pretends to ignore his appreciation thread until he's reeled in a few. After the toast suggested by the OP, we could appreciate anyone.

I wasn't here, and I didn't post this

and I'm not saying thanks yet

But this community is important to me and I love ya'll

Wow, Karls second appreciation thread....Ed, what is a Mensch?

Hey Karl, I never talked to you back in the day, because you were the Man. I remember your kind smile, but did not trust anyone from security. Boy ,was I wrong about you. Should of realized it ,the day of # Yabo's bike incident#. I was at the Ahwahnee dorm that day with Yabo, Irma and Terry Counts ,when it went all wrong.....another sad day in Yosemite.

Karl from your posts, I can tell you are a Great person, and a friend to be had. I am so sorry if I was rude to you. Hope to make it to the park clean up in Sept, and hope to see you and John Moosie. Love nita;-)

Hi Nita

No worries sweetness. I thought you were fine around me. It was my partner "gestaopo John" who really rubbed you the wrong way. You were probably a bit wrong about him but he did have an arrogant side. He's way cool now though and still a good friend. I could see right through to know you were a cool Spirit and Liked Tomaselli Too, even when we had drama's to unfurl.

Much Love
