Steve Muse (Museman) on Iron Hawk.

Museman in his new rig. Still cranking.

I only know Museman through ST and emails we have exchanged. He's inspirational. A traffic accident changed his life. He is training for his second San Diego Triathlon Challenge and is raising money for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. If that weren't enough, check this out.

I wanted to tell you that I'm in the planning for a Sea of Cortes crossing next year. ..about 120 miles across and hopping islands along the way with the longest open water stretch at about 30 miles. It's something to train for and to plan...kinda like doing a big wall on the water, all unsupported and an element of risk- perfect!

You gotta love that kind of spirit! Let's throw a few bucks to the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

I first met Museman shortly after his accident. Even so soon afterwards - through the pain and the drugs - Steve's positive spirit shone like a light in a deep, dark forest. From a distance, it's been heartenning to witness his incredible recovery and return to action. Steve has become a personal hero.
