Oh Lois, my goodness. Beth is one of three people to free the nose of El Cap, EVER. The others were Tommy Caldwell (Beth's husband), and Lynn Hill. Lynn was first and her send stood unrepeated for like 13 years. Beth and Tommy did it together about a year or so ago.
Yep, Beth is pretty and she is a nice young woman as well. I had the chance to chat with her walking back from a route at Red Rocks where she and Tommy were teaching a big wall class. I told her that her class had filled up just seconds after it was opened online. She was trully surprised and told me that she really liked the small classes because she could interact with the climbing folk on a personal basis. That was pretty much the end of the conversation as I walked way too slow for her. She was down the trail like a cat.

Lois,
Here we share an unknown regarding the best climbers in the world. I too wonder how Beth "Rodden" came to be in a pic like that with Chris. No clue although I'd bet that money of some type came into play here. Beth is actually prettier than that picture and MUCH prettier than the cover of Climbing magazine where she looks like a ghost.
So I too, wait to discover the nature of this picture.

chris has done a great job and this is an excellent place to have a great insight to climbers and climbing , even LEB being a non climber fits right in so if and when she ever does a climb it would make a great thread
