It's the spectators that get me. Those folks are nuts. Was watching a rally in Finland where folks were packed 10 deep the entire length of the course, right up to the edge of the roadway. Some guy missed a corner. Oopsie. Like a lawn mower cutting through high grass.

Mussy and I used to do these LA to JTree road trips, leaving late at night, following his stints as a machinist. We often stopped for pie and coffee. After a while, one winter, things got streched out and a bit out of hand. We'd goof around longer getting ready, stop for pie and coffee closer and closer to home and also multiple times along the way.

We pretty much just listened to music, talked uprorious sh#t about our friends, laughed buckets.

One Friday Night, we got set into this psychedelic headspace, left well after midnight, stopped for pie and coffee within the first 20 minutes and got so distracted we had to bivi at a rest stop along highway 10.

Mussy always slepped late, I was easily deterred and on this particular escapade we reached the Hidden Valley campground at about 6pm on Saturday. People thought (they knew)we were nuts. Its only a 2 hour drive from LA to Josh.
