After climbing at the loaf yesterday, I talked to a logger who said the helicopter was coming back on Sunday to pick up the rest of the logs around the base. He figured it would take a week and no climbing would be allowed. Sounds like it will be raining most of the week, so we shouldn't miss much.

Off to the loaf now!!

Dusty, I could of used some more company at the lodge tonight.

Heres a photo of sweet hand crack boulder problem that most people miss. It is a few minutes up and left of the bun.

Any update on this? Does it look like they will be logging this weekend?

Thanks

DrKayak,

Lots of logs with pink flagging near the base that look ready to fly, weather permitting.....

For the best accurate info contact the forest sup. / ranger on the eldorado in placerville. john berry 530.622.5061 or jdberry@fed.us

The more buzz he hears from how this impacts land users the better! I don't understand why the helo action cannot be done later in the year when climbing at SL is not as desireable. Has any input, other than the logging operation, been consulted prior to the Sup's action?
