I'm surprised the tioga road is closed, since there has been much precipitation. Anybody have know when it's likely to reopen?

My mother is in Tahoe right now and shes pissed that 120 into Toulumne and Yosemite is closed. She's never been to Yosemite and wanted to be an um ...t o u r i s t... in Yosemite this week.

Worst yet, she knew on thurs that the Sierra would be receiving an Arctic blast and heavy precipitation. She called me and asked if I was ready for the drop in temp. This was before her flight to Reno and she chose to fly out any way.


Between girlfriends, friends and mothers...i'm being drivin postal!

Just tell her to go to Yosemite through groveland. The pass will be open on her way home. She can see it then. If you really love her, recommend the curry village rockfall special. haha
