I quess you had to be there. The first ever carnage free Gorge Games! To us, the veterans, on the high angle and vertical rescue team it was a gloriously boring outcome. 3 amazing days of the most extreme sports immaginable in one venue anywhere in the world and not a scratch. Wickedly good!

A good two way off the highest suspension bridge in the world. 1053 feet above the mighty Arkansas River.

Rocket Man flies off the center of the bridge.

Well SteveW I was just there to pick up the pieces in the event of a crash landing.
On a cool note the route that we established got three assents this year.

Yeah scary stuff for sure. We were told, in the event of a crash recovery, to stand clear till he fizzled out.

Eric Scott the GoFast's jetpack man finally made a cross canyon flight at the Royal Gorge. 22 second flight on 33 seconds of fuel. !500' across and 1100' down.
