Those all look (damn near) BRAND NEW.

What were those ultra-durable picks BD made in the mid 90s? I had a pair, the only that lasted (at least) a whole season. Since then it's been touch and go...

BD made some discontinued stuff with aerospace quality metal.
Also, you can find those picks in both ratings, T & B.

The really funny thing is I sent the picture to Black Diamond, they sent me a link to where I could buy new ones >>>

Aermet picks were what BD used to manufacture..I bought as many as I could. I wouldn't expect BD to replace a pick look at what you are doing with it.....

I break about one Grivel Evolution pick each season. Went to Banff over Thanksgiving, and *snap* on the first swing.

I've never broken the picks on my Quarks or on any of my Grivel tools.

I've owned BD Cobra's and Viper's and have broken the B and T rated BD picks.

Tarbuster is right. Go with the T rated picks and you will have fewer problems.

You know it’s all personal preference but I am so partial to Charlet Moser’s. I get great wear out of them. I have done some aggressive filing to them and they still stand up well to the mixed. Still I guess the best policy is to carry a spare.
