I know Ushba was making them, but Liberty Mtn. bought Ushba and I talked to them and they can't seem to tell me anything about Titanium Pitons, so I guess that source is shut down. Anyone else have any Russian connections?

you're a few years too late for Ushba, and Liberty never had a chance.
Try the damned Email from russia in the other thread, maybe serguei is still selling them

Andy DeKlerk was heading off to try Latok one season. We were working together remodeling a house at the time and my involvement had come to an end. Andy was framing a hip termination and after I wished him luck and he left, I slipped a shiny new Latok titanium blade into a joint where it couldn't be missed.
He returned after the failed attempt and I asked him if he used my present. He was at first delighted to recall discovering the shiny blade but then his face drew into a scowl when he remembered actually placing it. "It was a piece of sh#t and bent right over," he declared in disgust.
If you are a collector or would like to have a couple on your alpine rack to gently slip behind blocks etc they are useful. Titanium is a poor material for hard working pitons though. You probably are already aware of the performance issues.
Two Latok blades on the left and a handmade titanium piton that I found way off to the side on the Salathe while arranging to take a piss. Could be from the Soviet ascent way back when, who knows? They sure do look pretty.

You can buy titanium pitons from the gear store "Shturm" in Moscow.
