I made a gear run yesterday so I called Finn to see what's up. He suggested meeting at the winter closure and checking out a couple of climbs right on the side of 120 toward the bottom. I'd been eyeing those climbs for awhile, so I was game to play hooky from work for a few hours and get a quick fix. We settled on the lower one, the one on the green granite. There are 6 bolts hiding in that corner under the tree. It was a beautiful climb, a bit windy but not too cold. The rock was interesting, it was like a green patina of granite about an inch thick, over nice hard granite, and somewhat breakable. What a great way to spent the afternoon! We both think it was 5.9. There are 2-3 more to check out in a few days. Maybe I'll remember to bring the camera.
