I’ve been updating pretty much my entire kit lately, as it’s all quite dated.
I did not think I would need to get a new headlamp.
But then I saw the Bindi...
It weighs less than two batteries and is about the same size.
It’s brighter than my old one too.
Short run time is it’s only weakness, but if you think of it as an alternative to a spare set of batteries and not a full replacement to your flamethrower, it makes good sense to me.
It’s so light you could just use it for around camp and save the batts in the main.

Your headlamp is fine. You don’t need another...
Go check out the bindi, and tell me which color you bought.

Can't have too many headlamps. Petzl made one that had a thin cord for a head band that retracts into the unit. Love that lamp but I can not find it in my gear shed

Remember the old Justright headlamps? I think that was the brand, could be wrong. 4 D cells. Great for climbing at night given the technology of the day.

yeah Sewlly thats it! The E-lite is great. Only problem I have with it is if you carry it loose in the top of a pack it is easy to accidentally turn on because of the big lever that turns it on.

28 bucks on Ebay

Everyone gets a new headlamp in their Stocking every year from Santa.
,
So yeah - Addicted To The Light.

Using a small jewelry pouch/infant sock,
will protect the lens and help stop accidental turn on.

Swelly, yeah I’ve had an e+LITE for 3 years. It’s has more features than the Bindi. I’ve been real happy with it...26g,!

The e lite is 50 lumens the bindi is 200.
I find the cost of the lithium button cells to be a dealbreaker on the e lite.

All you need is a match and a pink lady candle and yer good to go. I hold the candle in my teeth while I’m drilling 1/4” bolts. ;)
