My new work computer came with this background and I can't change it because this college is weird about computers.
Anyone know what I'm staring at four days a week? Looks familiar and I'm thinking eastern Sierra but I guess it could be anywhere...
Sincerely,
Procrastinator who had to come in on a Saturday because I'm not ready for the semester.

Cool, thanks. Now I need to climb that lit up ridge so this picture has some memories. Also have to figure out which ridge it is...

West LA??? Everyone knows that Burbank is the climbing mecca of California. Burbank, gateway to the High Sierra.

The east side is basically LA, but with a shorter commute.

Speaking of Mac backgrounds, where's this one? North Lake, maybe?

Yes North Lake
Lone Pine Peak was pretty obvious to me

The skyline is the north ridge, a nice outing easily done C to C. The one left, up the middle, is the NE ridge. A bigger undertaking with some great climbing.

Looking west from Lone Pine toward NE ridge (left) and N ridge (right) on Lone Pine Peak?
There’s supposed to be a couloir that you can ski from almost the summit too... maybe it dog-legs up and right to summit from the one visible in this pic (just to left of NE ridge)? I’m away from the ski descents book and going from reading memory- havent climbed or skied anything there yet but many targets that I want to do.

Lone Pine Peak is so mighty
Felt scared on the ridge but psyched when I got to the top and then descending through the Foxtail Pines in Meysan area was incredible
