Thanks everyone that took a survey that I posted a few days ago! It was something short we were doing for a class so we only had about 2 days to collect data.

Our next project is a survey that we created exploring why climbers enjoy their sport and psychological attributes like mental toughness in climbers. It will take roughly 10 minutes to complete. We will be trying to collect as much data as possible in a couple of weeks - I really appreciate everyone helping us out! If you would be interested in the results of this survey you are free to email me (megann@uidaho.edu).

Thank you all so much - you rock (pun intended :-))

These ST forum crows screwed up round one? Crap, tried Megan, I tried. Filled it out and everything. Mental toughness? Christ, not here, I've been pissing my pants that I'm getting drug out tomorrow night to finish a new line. 30percent chance of rain and 30 plus degrees. I'm in anguish just thinking about the hike in and I'm already crying for mommy.

BTW, what does "climb well" mean to you. Say if it was used in a sentence such as "If I do not climb well all the time, other climbers will not respect me."

To me, it relates to doing something so damned dumb that myself or my partner could have died. As in, I tied the knot wrong, or the fixed rope ran over a sharp edge I didn't see so it could have cut and killed you as you jugged up. So you may think it relates to high grades, whereas I do not. It's nice to get big numbers, but that is meaningless if you are dead and a front page headline for your loved ones. That's all I have. Hope it helped.

Not a bad survey.

I think you covered it. There is a bit of redundancy so if you did that on purpose then fine.

I definitely answered way differnt as an old climber. Would have been different 20 or 30 years ago.

You gals do any climbing on Moscow Mtn?

Filled it out.

In the future (or if there is still time) you should have someone who is not involved in the work proofread and test the study. There were a few spelling errors (adrenaline has an "e" at the end) and an "other" field that did not work.

Cheers.
