This should be front page grist ... oh, wait. No guns, religion or politics involved. Never mind.

Private property, at the whim of the owner to restrict access.

Access Fund is the real deal, their legal team is top-notch.

They're like legal-counsel for climbers. Pretty cool.

Kudos to the Tahoe locals too! Nice work.

Is it only Black Wall and the couple surrounding crags? Does anyone have a link to the property boundaries? In any case, awesome awesome news.

Big thanks to the AF and all who made this possible!

I am proud to have been on the original board of the Access Fund and 25 years later, it is a lean, mean climbing access and conservation machine.

The Access Fund is having its end of year fundraising drive right now so this would be a great time to show our appreciation, not just for Donner but for everything it does, from advocacy in Washington DC to the great work of the land trust in acquiring threatened climbing areas.

I just wrote a check and I encourage everyone to do so.

This is indeed good news.....

But what is the AF going to do about our little closed crag? (willie)

If it was "for sale" I don't think we would have that much of a problem getting the cash.... oh if all thing could be that simple.

and Rick A .... thank you for what you did BITD, at least Josh was saved.
