My fiancee and I are moving to South Lake Tahoe in late May from Berkeley, and will be looking for climbing partners- let me know if you're looking for adventure partners, or have recommendations of where to meet local climbers!

We've spent lots of weekends in Tahoe so know some of the local crags, but would love to get involved with the local community and explore some of the hidden gems. Happy to lend hands in crag development, trail maintenance, or bushwhacking to new rocks.

I lead 5.10b trad and 5.11 sport; we both love long alpine routes, mountaineering adventures, and summiting remote rocks. Looking forwards to developing my crack technique on that great Tahoe granite! Also would love to meet people who share interest in fast packing, trail running, and cycling. Stoked to move up to the mountains full time- looking forwards to meeting the locals!

Respond with suggestions, or PM me to meet up sometime!

I wouldn't mess with cycling tho - the crazy drivers/ roads makes that a dangerous occupation.

Well, I for one am insanely envious. That's some great country you'll have out your back, front, and side doors.

+1 on biking comment unless you get over to the Markleville area--that's some sweet stuff right there. Monitor Pass is one of the all-time great bike rides, especially in the spring when the mountains are (usually) covered with snow. This year, all bets are off in that realm.

Enjoy!

It looks like I'll be in lake Tahoe for a conference in June. I have never been there and won't have a car so I would really appreciate it if there was someone who wanted to go climbing. I do most of my climbing in Squamish and especially enjoy trad, multipitch, and bouldering with a safe and responsible mindset.

If you know anywhere else I can look for partners please let me know since I didn't have any luck finding a Tahoe climbing forum to connect with people.

Psyched to get out there!
