musta been the brown acid.;)

Coulda been.
I did the brown at a Black Sabbath/Aerosmith concert at Madison Square Garden back in '77 and had a absolutely terrible time...should have known better.

I remember driving along the 210 freeway in Pasadena there was a blue van pulled over with a bunch of people sitting by the side of the freeway with their hands cuffed behind their backs. Painted in large yellow letters on the side of the van - "Cal Jam or Busted!"

can't be much above the figures in the screen-grab...

but that character at the bottom of the image with the dirty horizontal striped shirt, sunglasses, gun-forearms and bushy hair might be...

maybe I should post an image of the anti-nuclear concert in Central Park, NYC and have you pick me out of the crowd... (actually, I only worked the event, showing up for the evening start of a 24-hour straight stage brake down and shipping to another venue for which I was paid $100 cash).

Oh fuk yeah - Cal Jam II - sitting atop the inside track fence for hours blazing on some "honest-to Jerry G- Owsley blotter" before worming my way through the crowd up to the front row for the Young Ted and Aerosmith performances - still deaf to this day in one ear.

Two years in California - barely 18 and doomed for life!

Too commercial for me. I let it pass.

It felt like they had figured out how to commercialize our music and extract the cash from us.

'sides, I was done with all those bands by '78. Van Halen was the new thing.
