I think I did it. Today I led the last two routes I hadn't done. I've now done every route at Pinnacles National Park that is easier than 5.10.
While I was at it I bagged the first "wearing a Santa Claus hat" lead of the new route "Reticulated."
I'm kinda tickled. And a little confused: what am I going to do with the next 30 years of my life?
That is a lot of routes, anywhere, much less at Pinnacles on often sub-par rock quality.
Scene from the top of The 800 Club anchors on a prior milestone day...
Suggestions on what to do with rest of life are being accepted...

What is that hanging off his harness? A brush? Some sort of medieval club? A stick to scare condors away??

Congratulations Mtnyoung! A humongous endeavour.
He has done a bunch of 10's and harder also and is is closing in on 900 routes total and in the finest style. Mostly, although his patched climbing attire or some of the rotten routes he has climbed(survived) may be better described as something else.

Great accomplishment! I have always enjoyed climbing at Pinnacles. For some reason, the route that really sticks in my head is the "Back of the Hand".

Sure is nice to see you posting Miwuksurfer.
QITNL, that's not only where you met us, it's where you joined us in making a first ascent :)
We got a lucky weather window yesterday and had fun:
If I get a little more grey in that beard, I could shove a pillow up under the jacket and really be Santa Claus:

I think Brad's biggest accomplishment is enduring the 3.5 hour drive(each way) from Twain Harte just to get to a climbing area where the rock quality is so questionable that only those bordering on the perverse actually enjoy climbing there.

Well done, Mtnyoung! Just finding all of the routes at Pinns can challenge us, and particularly obscure, easy ones.

What are you DOING in that summit shot?????
Dingus, has anyone ever told you that maybe you're a little TOO curious and observant? :)
I have no idea what I was doing, but I'm sure it was necessary and important. And clean.

Congratulations Brad!
What an accomplishment, a very proud and scary endeavor I am happy to have been a part of.
A VERY small part thankfully (lot of scary routes in that list)
I will never forget.....Never forget!
Cheers Buddy!

Awesome!
what am I going to do with the next 30 years of my life? Easy, now replicate the feat on the SPH. ;)
Slight tangent, over/under on how long 'til we see "so-and-so's milestone - NO routes at Pinns harder than 5.10" pop up as a topic?

I suspect he is really close to every route under 5.10 at SPH as well.

I've heard climbing at Pinnacles give you street cred. You now have street cred.

Truth
heh
and it's really pretty in the winter and Spring when water runs and the hills and moss are varying shades of green.
