Interested in climbing to raise money for a good cause?

Check out the Solid Rock Climber's for Christ Do-ya-thon. Funds will be raised to go toward SRCFC's plan the year fund for 2015 to help deliver the Gospel and also toward helping children with AIDS in Africa via Climb-up so Kids Can Grow-up.

How does it work? It is a Doing Your Age Climb-a-thon. Come up with a creative way to climb your age. You could climb the number of pitches or V grades of your age or your age x 100 in vertical feet or altitude gained.

For example, I'm thinking of climbing 30 pitches in Yosemite Valley in a day (thinking a Royal Arches to North Dome link-up). I'm still looking for a partner for this by the way for the weekend of Sept. 20th if anyone is interested.

When is it? The Climb-Ya-Thon can be any 24 hour period from Sept. 19-28. Deadliine to sign up is Sept. 18.

Here are some links.

It's up to your sponsors, but the idea is to part with the money you earn. For a good cause of course.
