I just got back from the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City after three days of helping Connie set up and take down a pile of artwork that was assembled with the help of Adidas Outdoor.

Jeff received the Lifetime Achievement Award but unfortunately was too ill to travel and wound up in the hospital briefly. He is recovering with his usual vigor and all is well.

Guy, Connie's assistant director for the Metanoia film drove a van load back from SLC to Louisville where Jeff and Connie are living now.

Small picture they need some help unloading this van later today or tomorrow if any of you good folks have the time to help for an hour or two. Connie posts here as Conner so please contact her through the ST.

Big picture they need help occasionally doing small mechanical repairs on Jeff's powerchair and other little handyman jobs for those of you with tool skills.

Connie takes care of Jeff around the clock but occasionally has to leave his side to take care of other responsibilities like producing the Metanoia film and attending to family matters. What they need is some medically trained assistance to keep an eye on Jeff every now and then. He is in a hospice environment but doesn't always have personnel available should Connie get pulled away. She needs options to work with so hopefully some STers with nursing or hospice skills can make themselves available.

By helping these wonderful people out you will get the opportunity to get to know them both which has been a real pleasure for me in the last few years. If he is not hurting, Jeff is quite lucid and can communicate well once you get tuned into his current speech pattern.

Helping these folks has been an honor for me and I would really encourage those of you in the Boulder area to pitch in and make yourselves available to do the same if you can. You won't regret doing so and they really need it.

Connie is beyond considerate so you are free to contribute as you can and when you can. Jeff has always been and continues to be a wellspring of inspiration and good will which will rub off on you inescapably and indelibly should you be fortunate enough to spend some time with him as I have.

Give it some thought and lend a hand.

I haven't heard from Connie yet. I'm assuming that she has an internet connection.
