If Merced seems bad
A few apples made it so.
It is a good place.
I'd like you to know
It's not STockton, nor Fresno,
It's like our Tacovile.
Not a steaming pile
Nor a place smelling of pine
But it suits me fine.
I just can't get this out of my craw. It sits there and makes me ill.
STill.

Who you gonna believe?
Some trumped-up media survey or your friendly neighborhood rodent?
Pitchers speak louder than words.
I went out today and made it into a baseball game.
I was the pitcher-taker and I only faced twenty-seven subjects and didn’t walk one, didn’t let one get on base, even.
My ground rules were that I had to use the 300mm lens & I could take only one shot, each shot representing a batter.
I’m proud to say the ruse worked, by and large.
I haven’t had to do a thing to add or to take away any of these.
The early morning light helped with the first shot. I put the camera away and posted to the Taco most of the day. Then the light came right around the time I finished my meal over at the Mission.
The shot at the Mission next to the Central Presbyterian Church was sketchy, but the ump ruled in my favor. The batter swung at the last strike.
Whew!
