hey there say, dingus... THIS is what your other post on the 'write up on the fall, of the gal, in yosemite' just reminded me of...
jessica garcia and her thank you note...
ALSO, i have bad troubles, trying to type, so i am
i am typing this simple, sorry to say, BUT:
i just typed it correctly and LOST the whole
post... :( DUE to dial up, ... :( i will try to go back, later and edit this...
NOTE:
I ONLY POSTED parts of her letter, that would apply to you all,
she is NOT a messy writer, her's was very nice and well done. :)
HERE it is:
i have received the quilt. it is lovely....
i thank you for making the quilt and to the others who sent/made the other squares. i love the animals, flowers, and the doctor patches. it describes my current situation perfectly and my love for the nature....
the lights were a cute touch since it was so close to the holidays....
as of right now, i am doing great. during my surgery, my doctor replaced my L1 with a part of one of my ribs.
i have a titanium cage in my back to keep me upright. without the cage i would be paralyzed. my doctor said i would be able to walk with no support within 3-6 months. i was able to do it in 1....
the past few months i have visited yosemite 3 time. first was to say thank you to search and rescue.l the next two, to visit my friends and co-workers. they are hoping for my return to work in the summer. i am crossing my fingers too. i have planned a few backing trips in the park since i done all the day hikes in the valley area already...
i started my love for hiking during the past summer and i will treat
ma fall as a bump in the road and not let it faze me.
i eventually want to climb mountains such as whitney, shasta, and many more traveling and seeing the world is one of my biggest dreams...
once again, thank you for the quilt and the prayers :-D

Ya Neebs thanks!! I have lost many posts like you because of my phone. May I suggest you start using the notepad accessory on your computer to type the long ones first and then copy in into the reply box? Once you get used to it, it's not that hard and you never lose a post. I know how frustrating it is.
As to Jessica's recovery that is simply amazing! L1 eh? I bet she was lucky and didn't impact her spinal cord with such a quick recovery. I would love to hear more details. I squished mine a bit and tore the end of the sheath open but did no damage to the nerves inside which is why my feeling is returning.
Congrats Jessica! I'm sure your battle was hard won also! Spine damage is never fun not withstanding the severity of the injury.

hey there say, big mike...
you know what, THAT is a good idea... someone long time back,
said that they did that on occasions when the power-goes-out season was around...
they may even do that everyday now... i think i will for the long
ones, from now on too... :O
whewww... and for facebook too...
it's happened too many times, of recent...
(though this browser was better, so i was kind of surprised it happened--but there is a small window box notice that continually pops up and i can't get rid of it... when it pops up in the middle of a send, i have now seen that the SEND will NOT go out, as that window stops it all) :(
but i am just going with the flow, with all that, and learning
this NEW TRICK, :))
(box just popped up again, but i was not in middle of send, so THIS
should take.... ooops, did not do the notepad, GOT to make that a new
habbit) ...
and i will, :)
