Ed Cooper has put together about 30 of his favorite images in the new SuperTopo Photo Gallery Mountains of North America.

This is an excerpt from his awesome photo collection on DVD also called Mountains of North America that has 2700 images. At $25 it is a steal.

Two reasons why I am so excited about this gallery:
1) There are a number of mega classic images of big historical significance like Warren Harding jugging on the first ascent of Leaning Tower

2) each photo comes with a detailed caption that is a small story. For example, there is some background on the iconic Schockley's Ceiling photo below.

You can buy the photo DVD directly from Ed at his web site here http://www.edcooper.com/

And here is the link to Ed Coopers Photo Gallery

Apparently our software only allows a certain number of photos in the gallery. So here are some more that were supposed to be in the gallery:

More than 30 of Ed's images can be found in a book called MOUNTAIN, published by Rizzoli for the benefit of the American Alpine Club Library. You can buy it on Amazon or directly from the AAC.

I gotta get this.

One of my favorite BITD Yosemite pics has Ed as the subject rather than the lensman. It's the Glen Denny photo taken on the first ascent of Dihedral Wall. It's on the wall facing my desk at work. Ed is good on both sides of the camera.
