I have an original Forrest Mjollnir Hammer. I would like to sell it to fund a gift for my daughter. I am sure many of you know about it - it's a great hammer. I have no idea how much it would go for, but considering that it's collectable with "great renowned practicality", please don't lowball offer. It will be shipped from Joshua tree or you may pick it up locally to save shipping Attached is a rough picture, but if you would like more detailed pictures I can take some and email them to you.
Thanks, tanslacks at gmail

I borrowed a lot of the ideas form climbnplay

I bet the fish has cases of those Forrest hammers underground.

Best framing/demo hammer around

(the wall style, not that nosepicker you got there Tan)

Yes it is for sale. I am looking for a buyer, new home, that sort of thing. I was just playing with climbnplays old post, and Russ wishes he had a case of these babies. Next... we should be hearing from Werner any minute...

Best to start auction style with how much money you need. Or do like most Eastern traders and start with the highest price you'll take for it.

Otherwise you get offers like this: I'll give your $25.00 for it. Plus UPS shipping costs.

Heed the suggestion of coming up with a price that you want for it. Many forums won't even let you post something FS without a price. You could always ask high if you're not sure what it'll bring, then drop your price gradually if there are no takers.

An old catalog I have says that thing cost $32.50 in 1975. Adjust that for inflation and that would be just shy of $150 in today's dollars. If you find someone willing to pay you that, I'd take the money and run. You won't find many people who need just that last model to complete their mountain ice/ pin hammer collection!

Best of luck. Remember it's only worth what someone's willing to pay for it.

Maybe you could sell it to Chessler :)

Good looking tool Tan Slacks. I own 2 or I'd snap it up. Good luck!

Best one with the "rockpick" on it.

With warrenty sticker still on.

I just got an offer of 100 dollars, so I guess I'll start there for the Forrest.

How about these.. I'll start 100 dollars for the pair. They are used/new in other words never used. Stubai FKW's with the extra hammer head pictured. Sorry if I broke protocol. This is all going for a good cause.. Anyone who was in JT last week end saw me selling a ton of gear and knows why.

LOL, hope knot! I bought it specifically to modify it into a tool for cleaning the dirt out of cracks. It was so perfect, still had the warranty sticker, I couldn't pull the trigger. Using these tools to clean cracks destrys them, and that would have been harsh.

So I sawed the bottom off a Chouinard Ice axe and used that till I got a newer Stubai axe that works unmodified. Now only a dwarf would use that Chouinard tool.

Look at Steelmonkeys! Still in the original box. Woot!

BITD I could only afford 1 Terrodactyl so my other tool was one of these Forrest things. It had a disheartening tendency to bounce off the ice. Luckly the Terror sticks were bomber.
