The climbers in Portland hosted a fundraiser at their local gym to support plowing the road into Hyalite Canyon, Montana.

You are most appreciated by the climbers here in SW Montana. In addition to the obvious monetary benefit, it sends a great message to the USFS about how valuable this resource is. The head of Gallatin County Road and Bridge (the team that gets the job done) is from Oregon. He is keen and will be happy to hear about this.

On a conditions note..... this season is shaping up to be "biblical". This summer was wet, a cold snap set in early October and two weeks ago the range was blanketed with two feet of high density snow.
