Overview

The stone at the Devastated Area on the north side of Mt. Lassen is the freshest in the state. Most of it was created in the last volcanic eruption of Mt. Lassen in 1915. Most of the boulders are in forests with generally flat landings and short approaches. Don’t miss the Hot and Cool Rocks as well as the classics on the Mushroom Boulder.

*Dogs and smoking are not allowed.

The Mushroom V7**** sit, Shroomin V5***, Mushroom Arete V1*** or V6 sit, Hot Rock V1**, Cool Rock V4*** and the classic Travis Klawin V6*** problem #14 on the Cool Rock. (i forgot the name from long ago. doh. Travis, anybody ??)
