The two massive boulders supporting the wooden platform under this route finally gave out and rolled into the river on earth day 4/22/08. We lost a rope (6 or 7 core shots as the largest boulder rolled over the stacked line) and some toenails but walked away. I do not recommend sitting on the now unsupported wooden rail. Does anyone know how hard the seam is 15 ft to the right of the route?
my long term partner stu polack and I used to drive up after high school and do this route by headlamp in the early 70's. the beta is correct, if you want to learn the valley ow, practice on this one more than once.

*What is "Route Beta"?
It's climber slang for information or tips on a route as in, "what's
the beta on that route?" As a service to fellow climbers we ask SuperTopo
guidebook users to post tips and updates to this website if they have relevant
information to share after a climb.
