Approach time: 1 hour

Overview
The North Chimney is perhaps the easiest route on a major tower. It is technically easier, but more sustained than the Kor-Ingalls Route. The first pitch may be the best 5.9 in the desert. The route stays in the shade all day so plan to climb in warm weather.
