Overview
THE RAINBOW BOULDERING AREA ON THE NORTH SIDE OF I-80 IS NOW ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND IS CLOSED. The south side is still open to climbing.
Do you shop at 7-Eleven, drive 100 mph everywhere, and curse the time it takes to microwave a burrito? If so, this is the place for you. Two and a half hours from the Bay Area will get you here, and the approach is minimal. Highway noise detracts a little from the ambience. Tiny amounts of hassle, and all the space in the world to run around in make Rainbow a sure thing. The North Rainbow Boulders with the classic Jawbone V7 are now on private property and are no longer accessible.
Notable Bouldering Problems
#24 V6 stand or V9 sit, #25 V11!, Sweet n Low V7 and Sweet n Low Traverse V6 ((and The Jawbone V7 on the no access north side))
