Been putting the TADMO BL to good use recently with a trip to the Ditch
for the Bridwell Memorial and a week long trip on the NorCal/Oregon coast to celebrate Mo's retirement after 25yrs. with Shasta County Family Support Services.

Made the weekend trip to the Valley, my last visit in 81, after stopping Fri. night in Jamestown to pick up Mouse at his bro Tim's place. Thanks for the hospitality and meal Brian and Tim.

Was great to road trip with Mouse again and attend the amazing Memorial on Saturday, mad props to all that made it happen. I was honored to meet many of you for the first time; Werner, Tamara, Rev. Jeff, Harrison, Anders, Guyman, Jim, BLUBLOCR and others.
Also seeing some of you again that I had met previously; My guide Mouse, Hooblie and Peter Mayfield.

A major highlight for me was reuniting with my climbing mentor and 1st partner "Rubidoux" Jim Wilson whom I hadn't seen since 74. It was great seeing you and reconnecting, best wishes Jim and family.

I had a great time in the Valley honoring Captain Bridwell,
Thank you all!

TRIP #5; Mo's NorCal/Oregon Coast retirement trip.

We both love the NorCal and Oregon coast so we took our time seeing the sights, beachcombing, eating seafood and living out of the van for a week.
Headed west on Hwy. 299 to Arcata then headed north on 101 and spent the first and last nights at our Orick area secret bivy spot.

Retirement is tiring!

Slowly traveled up the coast all the way to Astoria over the next few days then reversed our route down the coast hitting areas we hadn't seen on the way up.
Found a good stealth bivy site north of Gold Beach and also stayed in a couple Ore. State Parks CG's which are nice because they had hot showers, a necessity
after a few days of stealth camping. ;)

Not gunna bore ya with details,
enjoy the visuals.

Tad, thanks for sharing.

Being a native Oregonian, it's nice to see some non-natives appreciating what we have here.

FWIW, there is some great bouldering on the headlands at Oceanside State Park. Take the trip through the tunnel, toward the north end of the beach, but be careful, there's an active fault directly above the south tunnel entrance!

Very nice, Tad! My wife and I will be camping along the WA and OR coasts for two weeks this summer, using our little retro teardrop trailer. We've camped along the OR coast many times, but not WA (even though we live in Seattle).

Congrats on the whole retirement scene!

John, yep 73ish?

And nice haircut. :-)

Thanks L, it's my summer cut, makes me look younger without the long grey hair. ;)

clode; We love your states coastline and thanks for the bouldering beta.

Tom; Have fun on your teardrop trip!

Jealous! We are heading toward retirement but still trying to get things done on a regular weekend, then have to try to catch up on sleep for a few days. Good to see you getting out there!
