Savoring and Surviving the Steck-Salathe

Few routes get built up as much as the Steck-Salathe.
I've read countless other trip reports on Supertopo that made me question if I was ready... Stories of unplanned bivys, humbled 5.11 climbers and hours of endless WIDE!
This summer I took the plunge and came out on top. We had a great day full of challenges, rewarding views and a much anticipated summit.

Nice. When I see the more recent pictures of the route it looks much cleaner than I remembered it at the time.
Very fun climb. I dunno why people make such a deal about it. It should be a mandatory outing.
