Trip Report
ROCKtober!!!
Friday October 18, 2013 2:14pm
Posted an entry about a few more places I was lucky to explore in the last month or so. If I had more time I would re-post the whole report, but work keeps me busy. Extra time must be used wisely, for things like facebooking and tweeting (just kidding)…Check the whole report by clicking the link, if you wish:

Climbs in this report include:
Sentinel Rock – Steck Salathe
Eichorn Pinnacle – West Pillar Direct
Panic Pillar
Matthes Crest
The Sorcerer – Thin Ice and Don Juan Wall
The Witch - Airy Interlude
The Charlatan – Spooky, and Fancy Free
Voodoo Dome – White Punks on Dope
Calaveras Dome – War of the Walls, and Silk Road

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and incredible rock CA has to offer!

Here are a few photos

Me rappelling from Eichorn Pinnacle. Great shot by my friend Chad.

Rescue Helicopter flying someone out after an accident

Looking down the 5.9R pitch on War of the Walls (Calaveras Dome) - nice tilt ;)

Climb hard, eat healthy....yeah right!

Me on top of Panic Pillar - happy I didn't blow it on the last few moves

Luke starting up a beautiful lie-back pitch. About 5 miles of sustained lie-backing. Calaveras Dome - Silk Road (IV 5.11)

After I was done with the long lie-back pitch, or IT was DONE WITH ME

Ron, at times it is better to explore some classics than get on some choss no one will ever want to repeat. I picked a few “projects” for 2014 and hope to discover a free line there. Several possibly unrepeated routes grab my attention as well…

Somehow,, i dont see you picking a choss line.. Your putting to bed the classics like they were tic tacs.!
It has really been a pleasure to see your rather rapid advance and quality style here. A bright spot in the future of climbing you are.

Thanks for sharing your ride..

Blam! Eye candy as usual, even though I hate clicking links!

When you are in the mood to put up a big choss line nobody will ever repeat you know who to call :)

Your TR's really are a highlight of ST

I checked: Our HEROIC escapade-artist has a condition known as Beckey's Syndrome.

One tell-tale symptom is that one never know where he'll be seen next.

He is in many ways what Fred Beckey might have been had he had access to an internet.

And cams.

"I was happy to climb more lie-backs since along with slab, finger cracks, off hands, face-climbs and flared chimneys it is one of my weaknesses."
