Climbed the Cassin Ridge a few years ago in mediocre conditions. It was excellent, and I would almost consider doing it again for the quality of climbing. The Valley of Death was the scariest part (we skied up in an intermittent whiteout). 59 hours 'schrund to summit, and we had 2 great nights of sleep on the route. I think the grading is accurate, but naturally everything is conditions-dependent and the biggest challenge on any alpine route is rarely the grade.

Yes, a photo or ten, and maybe one or two epics (invented or not), and perhaps a soliloquy, would add a certain je ne sais quoi to the story. The Cassin in 2 1/2 days is most impressive. Tell us more!
