Petch Pietrolungo and __ (who was your partner?) in August 2005 put up this killer new face route on Lower Buttress at Lover's Leap. It starts about 30 feet right of Sinbad-Herbert and climbs 190 feet with 9 bolts and one knob tie-off to the anchors of Sinbad Herbert Direct. The crux is a powerful roof that Petch rates 5.10c but i thought might be a little stouter. There are bolts at all the hard moves and then a couple 20-foot runouts on the easier terrain. To descent, either traverse right to The Groove anchors.
Here are some photos of petch following that i took.
*What is "Route Beta"?
It's climber slang for information or tips on a route as in, "what's
the beta on that route?" As a service to fellow climbers we ask SuperTopo
guidebook users to post tips and updates to this website if they have relevant
information to share after a climb.
