THE SHARP END is a film about
the climbers who push themselves to the limits of adventure,
and risk everything on the razor's edge between success and
disaster. Run out trade routes, scary high-ball boulder problems,
ice-covered alpine walls and all-or-nothing free-solo ascents form the
crucibles in which these climbers push through their fear and discover
the uncertain consequences that lie on the other side. The film follows
leading rock athletes to stunning locales across the globe:
- Boulders CO's bold school climbers put up 5.13 and 5.14 on bad
gear
- Lisa Rands climbs 30-foot V10 "boulder problems" in Bishop
- Michah Dash and Johnny Copp suffer hard in India and the French
Alps
- Alex Honold, Cedar Wright and crew climb with only knots
for pro in Elbsandstein + Tower jumping carnage
- Ammon McNeely takes big falls and swings on El Capitan
- Chris McNamara wingsuit BASE jumps next to big walls in Italy
- Steph Davis freesolo's the Diamond and and solos and BASE jumps of
Moab Towers
- Dean Potter freeBASE's the Eiger and BASEline's in the
Desert Southwest
The Italian
Alps, the sandstone spires of the Czech Republic , Yosemite Valley,
the Utah Desert , and the Colorado Rockies. Like Sender Films
past contributions, THE SHARP END will deliver mind-blowing HD cinematography,
gut laughs, dramatic twists, and the most exciting climbing film experience
of 2008.

What
SuperTopo posters say about The Sharp End
"Wow! The camera work in this film looks incredible.
Peter and crew have really risen the bar with their recent works.
Is that someone freesoloing with a base chute on their back? " -
The Alpine
"by far the most engaging piece of climbing related film i've every enjoyed."
- Euroford
"Bile in my mouth when Dean goes f*#k and has to reverse those moves in the
mist, BASE chute or not..." - Perswig
"Just go this one from Chris- Really one of the best climbing docos I have
ever seen. Unbelieveable stuff and a great snapshot of the current state of
the art, with the real players, not the magazine fluff stuff. Dean's climbing
fall, recovery into stable freefall, and pulling his chute was friggin' mind-blowing." -
John Middendorf
"Just got mine Thursday. Gotta kick up the English Language. Awesome and Incredible
are weak when trying to describe this flick." - Lynne
