^^^^^ Awesome, Jim!

Flying out to LA in about a week and a half and hoping to check out Stoney Point for the first time, then heading out to JTree...life is good! :)

Hey LilaBiene,

Any chance you'll come north to Bishop or Mammoth? Or Death Valley (we stopped for a day but it's storming in Mammoth so we decided to hang out here for a few more days (weeks?)

Hi Jim! I will private message you -- currently my plans are to climb in JTree through ca. Tues, the 17th. Then Fri, the 20th - 22nd I'm planning to head to Mariposa to see BooDawg. There are possibilities in the middle! :)

Lila,

Let us know when you want to do Stoney and we'll try to have a locals reception to show you around. Not many left who knew your dad but plenty who could reveal the magic of the place.

If you can spend a couple of hours that would be best. Walk around it, see all the aspects. Climb to the top. Visit the great crevasse and the Native American camps. It will be all green with the rain we are having. A good time to visit.

The Lake is forming up really good this year.... right now the stone is soaked. Pretty soon now we will see that greener than real grass growing all over.

Ms LilaBiene... your Dad (who was before my time) like many others, really loved Stoney, I hope you have a good visit.

Please stay off the rock at Stoney. It is way too wet and you will just break the holds off. Stoney should never be climbed at (except maybe Hot Tuna traverse) for most of a week after a good rain storm.
