hahaahaaaa....

Now the issue is diverting attention from "mitigating hunger, poverty, and other human afflictions"...

That is exactly what many climate scientists do when they are not shooting down moronic bullshit from oil company funded idiots who turn out junk science denying anthropogenic GCC.

You asshats are UN FUKING BELIEVABLE.

Do you deniers understand the difference between climate and weather?

I'm not one to throw out insults, but you all seem really, really stupid.

Stupid, very stupid. Brainwashed, too.

Edit; Ron, I'll gladly pay more for clean energy. I'll also gladly pay more to protect species that We are threatening.

Why wouldn't you be willing to pay more to protect the place where we live?

The heat wave lasted 3 days Norton and affected a large portion of the state. I flew in on the final afternoon and could see a sharp edge of the high pressure ridge, where clear sky met cloud bank over the gulf of Alaska, on the last 100 miles. It was not the hottest it has ever been up here, that distinction goes to the year 1934, i believe. We had the longest winter here in history. Now it is cool. All things average out i guess.

If you think you live in a hazard zone on your flood plain Bruce you should see my place in Nv. ( a fixerupper). I have no illusions of its permanence. Yes, the climate has been remarkably stable (compared with the majority of prehistory) over the last 10,000 years. This is what allowed us, more than anything else, to attain our present state of civilization and technology. It is difficult to determine if we have had more extreme weather events in the last decades. One thing is for sure; the planet has many more people inhabiting areas in harms way and news is now instantaneous even from the remotest corners of the world.

Ninety plus degree summer temps are not uncommon in Alaska's interior Bruce. I've heard that above 80 latitude it's been an unusually cold start to the summer however. So maybe the sea ice you guys so love will have better conditions for recovery.

Sure, the temp rise is totally natural. Nothing to worry about.

With temperatures topping 80 degrees in Anchorage, and higher in other parts of the state, people have been sweltering in a place where few homes have air conditioning.

They're sunbathing and swimming at local lakes, hosing down their dogs and cleaning out supplies of fans in at least one local hardware store. Mid-June normally brings high temperatures in the 60s in Anchorage, and just a month ago, it was still snowing.

On Tuesday, the official afternoon high in Anchorage was 81 degrees, breaking the city's record of 80 set in 1926 for that date.
Other smaller communities throughout a wide swath of the state are seeing even higher temperatures.

All-time highs were recorded elsewhere, including 96 degrees on Monday 80 miles to the north in the small community of Talkeetna, purported to be the inspiration for the town in the TV series, "Northern Exposure" and the last stop for climbers heading to Mount McKinley, North America's tallest mountain. One unofficial reading taken at a lodge near Talkeetna even measured 98 degrees, which would tie the highest undisputed temperature recorded in Alaska.

Now Ed, don't go worrying yourself about the poor Polar Bears. They'll be fine as their are plenty of Treadwell types for them to munch on. Do you still actively climb at your advanced age of _ ? Get out there and get some fresh air under your feet this weekend.

Norton i enjoyed yesterday's 70 degree day by doing an evening climb at my local area-Archangel valley at Hatchers Pass. Conditions were perfect, the rock on the Monolith well traveled and clean and the wife not bitching too much about having to climb with me.P.s. Willow hit an unofficial high of 101 on monday.

You don't realize how spoiled you are with the wealth of quality, easily accessible rock you guys have there. I'll post some pictures sometime of our local resource which is pathetic by your standards.

You are comparing apples and oranges again, Chief. Greenland ice core data is not world wide average.

The other graphs are on million year scales. Another apples to oranges comparison.

So here it is again, totally natural, right?

The Chief,
You speak on this thread like a dog who has way too long a leash. You speak of the science and why you don't agree but are then shown just exactly why you are wrong. I'm sure that you'll disagree.

You then jump, as you have throughout the year of your being here, that whether the science is right or wrong it doesn't matter because society is so behind the curve and no change is going to happen that is doesn't matter. That might be so but it has nothing to do with the science behind what is actually happening.

You're a blow hard. You don;t care if the science is right wrong. You speak of agendas in the field of science. You have your own agenda. Even if it is human engendered climate change you don't care. You are and we are a part of the natural world and if we continue with our rate of being and resource usage so be it. Its all a patt of the natural process.

Never mind that we know better. Because that will never come to pass.

...the Scientism Industrial Complex that is running scared

What I love about this guy is how he can't hide his complete ignorance of science. He sculpts his posts out of recycled sewer solids and claims we can't smell how wonderfully fragrant they are.

Bombastic moron.

What are you doing to mitigate the effects of hunger, poverty, and other afflictions you believe we can change????

I don't think your doing anything for any of those causes but I hope to be corrected...

We can handle the TRUTH even if it's that you are just a TROLL, here's hoping you have a heart of gold...and make a difference for those weaker than yourself...

You are sounding much more lucid NWO2, now that you've toned down the mysterious conspiracy narrative. Yes, there are plots out there, but the many competing counter plotters tend to cancel each others factions out. This "climate change scientism thing" is a centerpeice of many a plot though, and if they are sucessful in forwarding it it would be bad news for all but a select few. So, thankyou for the help in fighting it and advancing suggestions for realistic practices that might just help us all.

If he's more lucid now, he must have been pretty bad before. And your standards are not very high.
