Unless you are getting paid to provide misinformation and misdirect the discussion, it's pretty much a waste of your time to peruse this thread if you haven't already watched the two presentations posted above and referenced here again:

really?

chem-trails and the ionosphere as the determinant of the weather/climate?

got anything in the science literature to support those contentions?
the YouTube videos don't do it for me...

yes, really

did you take the time to study what is being said in the videos, or are you reacting based upon thinking you already know enough to have an opinion

people have been well trained to stop thinking when they hear the trigger phrase 'conspiracy theory'

it seems this thread is based upon more heat than light

the posted videos contain a great deal of substantive information...so people are clearly not taking the time to view them

do your homework before voicing an opinion

for the first time you make me wonder about your diligence as a scientist

Thank God for people like Tom Cochrane.

They're very rare in this day and age.

Soon you'll have nothing but sheep ......

No, as I said, I got bored after 12 minutes of the second one. I also started to see the first one (at the time were the link started) and the first part was just personal attacks against scientists so I didn't see any further.

I much rather read or skim an article than using 2 hours to look through youtube videos.

Homework consists of finding relevant peer reviewed papers in respected scientific journals. Youtube videos do not count.

wrong

relevant peer reviewed papers are tightly controlled by the establishment and are enforcing the suppression of information about heavily funded black programs

you can lead the sheeple to knowledge, but you can't make them think

just call it 'conspiracy theory' and they won't touch it

Malemute's argument that all the peers are correct.

Jesus Christ walked into a room of 100 blind men and said there is "Light".

All the blind men have been agreeing since forever their world is dark.

When Jesus Christ said there is "Light" they immediately claimed he was false and wrong and then killed him ...... :-)

i am not particularly interested in defending a position

i only stepped into this thread because i thought the two posted videos were worthy of your time and attention

if you folks aren't going to take the time to study them, i am not interested in contributing to the noise level around the campfire

Here is the most relevant quote i've seen in the latest discussion, "unless you are getting paid to provide misinformation". You gotta ask yourself, what kind of government scientist job description includes work hours defense of CAGW on blogs like this. Fort, Ed H., etc. etc.?

Do we need a refresher on the makeup of the atmosphere?
The troposhpere contains approximately 80% of the atmosphere's mass and 99% of its water vapour and aerosols.

Above that is the stratosphere, the mesosphere, and then the ionosphere.
How the phuk could the ionosphere meaningfully affect the troposphere?
The gap between them is about 42 MILES!!!!!! Get real!

Chief, I hate to break it to you but there won't be any forthcoming because
nobody is going to write a paper disproving something that has not been
proven to exist except in the imaginations of a few conspiracy lovers.

Dirt, good point, I've always underestimated Dick Cheney and Al Gore.

Where is the peer reviewed "science literature"

You got anything in science literature that says anything different

Now you're demanding peer reviewed science?

Dialogue is good if its sincere.

That's been missing from this thread for quite some time. The chief noise maker is on mute lately and voila! Dialogue returns.

So says ST's self-worth seeking narcissist and King of Selfies with over 26,500 posts.

Why all the hate, The Chief? Dingus was just making an observation about how dialog proceeds when you are absent.

Does this fact somehow offend you?

Sure Sketch, no warming in a few of the datasets and ignore all the others, and lets also ignore the massive jump up from the trend to start the 'pause'.

So Sketch, I'm failing to see the relevance of "Abstracts" in your graphic. Are you telling me that your source for the claims in that graphic basically did a word search of the free abstracts on a site similar to PubMed?

The mendacity in that graphic is outright screaming "look at me, I'm playing at being clever but fooling nobody with an IQ above 40".
Thanks for the chuckles.

Let's parse it a bit:

Why the seemingly arbitrary 11k?
What were the start/end dates those 11k were produced?
Why the overly specific language of "they agreed that since 1950" etc? What relevance does 1950 have?

Here's what I think. Yer boy there found a couple that contained that precise language, for reasons specific to those studies likely due to datasets availble when produced, etc, then yer boy searched for that same exact language within a free database of abstracts. And voila, your laughably mendacious graphic.

This isn't even 3rd tier obfuscation by stats, yer boy needs to significantly up his game as even my 12 year old nephew would laugh that one out of town.
