The unsubstantiated claim by the Ipcc is clear. They are claiming residence time of existing CO2 varies from decades to millenia. While it may be true that under the influence of a gradual cooling that the rate of atmospheric CO2 decrease could be slow , they dont say that in the text quoted.

To me it seems that you still do the same mistake once again. You have read that a single CO2 molecule stay in the atmosphere a short time and thus think that the results for the CO2 concentration also should disappear in a short time. That is incorrect.

The IPCC explains what they have done in the captions. I guess that it is difficult to understand though when you are one of very few people that still don't believe that the recent spike in CO2 concentrations is due to the burning of fossil fuels. Maybe due to your first misunderstanding I pointed out above.

But really, a laymen like you know that the claims of IPCC are incorrect while your favorite scientists, for example Curry, Spencer, lindzen don't say that the IPCC are wrong about that.

Par for the course from the Liberal CAGW Scientism Brigade.

Clearly evidenced by the ORIGINAL POST of this thread....

Indeed The Chief, I stand by my statement. It is the right-wing who is spinning the science to Luddite folk as yourself, who are eager to eat it up as it were all-American apple pie.

The problem is that the people who have their feet standing in reality, such as the bona fide climate scientists who can actually back up what they claim with peer-reviewed papers, are given equal (or less) air time than the complete whackos who spout lies and fabrications about the science.

And every post you make, The Chief, proves me right.

Outright laughable WADE ICEY how when you start slinging your baby turds and then get large volleys returned right back at you, you delete your posts then RUN and HIDE.

Now that is NIIIICE and Typical.

Just like FORTMENTAL, you WADE ICEY, hide behind your NO NAME AVATAR then come on hear and try to be somebody via your HATE, all to appease your AGW believing buddies.

The stalking is getting to be a bit much Chef.

Oh and the only baby turds I've flung are your own vile words. which you rightly construe as hateful,,,but typically are too dense to recognize the foul source of de Nile....a la,,,
MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LOOK at MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE everybody. Here I am.
I am doing my part to fling some shet at em.
Look at MMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
You are too stupid to hate so you... are not included. You are merely just another non-thinking sheep.
The only reason you do stand up at ANY meeting, is to merely get some attention of any kind.
The proverbial Class Clown/Moron.
ME ME ME... look at me everybody.

Just like FORTMENTAL, you WADE ICEY, hide behind your NO NAME AVATAR then come on hear and try to be somebody via your HATE, all to appease your AGW believing buddies.

You know exactly who I am Chef and I know exactly who you are despite your no name avatar..Stalker-in-Chef.

Yes posting quotes from the Chef is inflammatory so you're finally right about something. Good show Sketchy.
Say, for your school scientism project why don't you compile my complaints and Flame bait into a nice graph...make sure it's big...you know...to compensate for...you know..

If anybody is actually interested in something substantive on this topic
it appears the Supreme Court is about to give the EPA a bitchslap for
exceeding its mandate and ignoring Congress. However, it may uphold the
states' rights to impose local regulations.

Court skeptical of EPA regulations

OK, carry on with the mud-wrasslin'.

Phule for a scientist, engineer of im guessing asian ancestry and probably second generation emigre status, you sure veer from rationality into the realm of phuleishness. The Ar's are political documents with what little facts they contain twisted and contorted to assist the IPCC in attaining their desired endpoint goal. For you to delve into the scientific semantics of the CO2 residency claims to raise their erroneous figures from the realm of fiction to fact is a waste of your time. Look for some truth on this issue- start by looking up Segalstad 1998 and Essenhigh 2009. Those scientists you mention, that I put trust in , are questioning the CAGW religion from different angles than residency time and hold little knowledge or opinion on residency.

Lol, hahaha, but you on the other hand hold a lot of knowledge about residence time?

Those people could spend 5 minutes on the issue and understand much much more than you do. That they don't even find the according to you the huge error though they are skeptical about ipcc in some regards is quite telling.

Seriously Fortmental. With the exception of major volcanic events or asteroid impacts of particular composition, CO2 increase always lags temp increase. This is still a fact despite the millions of public dollars and platoons of morons thrown at it.

Fool, the AR's are so riddled with fallacies that the opposition scientists in question find it more fruitful to question numerous other angles, equally as damning. I note, the quoted text from Curry states her relative lack of interest and lapses into quotation's of others involved in the IPCC documents. Hardly an endorsement.

Norton, you are a tunnel dweller and until you exit to the light of day are incapable of sight beyond your constricted confines. If you wanted truth, you would have already found it. I found your question to be a opportune point of entry, you yourself are a waste of time.

And people that understands dynamical systems don't see any problem with this.

Why the name calling? Why should anyone listen or care about the opinion from someone with no knowledge about the subject like you? You have no idea whatsoever about any fallacies in the AR reports because you are not able to understand anything at all in them.

Cool, so CO2 always lags temperature except when it doesn't. That's interesting...

So you ignore the cases when extra CO2 is actually released into the atmosphere, similar to whats happens today, and try to draw some conclusion from the cases when no extra CO2 is released and compare it to what happens today. Interesting...

A simple system analysis gives the following obvious facts.

CO2 came before the temperature if the CO2 is an external input (released from outside).

Temperature came before CO2 if the temperature rise due to some external input.

It really make no sense that CO2 should start to rise at year -10 because the input from the sun was higher than usual at years 0 to 10 which resulted in a rise in temperature for the years 0 to 10 and a rise in CO2 for the same years and some years after.

There is no victim card Sketch, and where's the lie?

weather isn't climate!

You people love to use that phrase... while ignoring the actual statistics that define climate. How convenient for you.

Look a little closer chuff. THAT is 2 months of record low precip. And not just by a little... Jan had 1/2 the precip as the driest year.
