then rebut Ed's post, Rick

take it apart, clearly and carefully, in detail

no clever little irrelevant personal digs, no emotional diatribes....

prove most everyone wrong when they say you don't have the intellect to do so

time to finally man up, rick

For the reality-based community, a nice look at real science in action. This 5-minute video posted by glaciologist Mauri Pelto offers a glimpse of the 30 years of field work that have gone into monitoring the mass balance of Cascade glaciers.
We have developed a 30 years time series of glacier mass balance on glaciers across the North Cascades of Washington. To ensure that the program could be sustained, we did not pursue any federal funding for the project. The data we, collect is submitted to the World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS) each year, the regional time series built in the North Cascade is just part of the contribution to the global glacier mass balance time series at WGMS. The cumulative North Cascades glacier mass balance record is in fact quite similar to the cumulative global mass balance time series. For the globe there have been 22 consecutive years of negative mass balance, that is the reality of the impact of global warming on mountain glaciers around the globe. The impact on the glaciers of Mount Baker was recently published Pelto and Brown (2012)

Pelto is presenting a longer version of his video next week at the AGU (American Geophysical Union) meetings in San Francisco.

When anyone repeatedly displays intellectual cowardice it is our duty to piss on their heads from a very great height.

oh damn, now that IS funny regardless

just like next door neighbor five year old kid who disagreed with me about something and told
me to "build a bridge and get over it, diaper face"

Given your verbosity in making the request, I'm guessing any response on my part would result in more tiresome tedious posts from you. Even if I was interested addressing this query (which I'm not), your penchant for blather would be a deterrent.

hmmm, Irony?

Turns out his claim was a lie. After getting called on it, instead of simply saying "I misspoke", he tries to defend his lie. Sleazy. Cowardly. Just my opinion.

The irony, how many times have you done exactly that in this thread?

Another one of Ray Ray's hollow accusations.

Haha, hollow accusations? Why don't we make a bet? I go back and find one of the many times that you have done this and you apologize to me and stop posting to the forum. If I can't do that I apologize to you and stop posting to the forum. Do you take the bet?

Not that it matter for sketch (he is of course not going to read the sources anyway) but to me it seems like Pielke's hearing did claim some things that the experts said where wrong.

For example:

Pielke:
"Tornadoes have not increased in frequency, intensity or normalized damage since 1950, and there is some evidence to suggest that they have actually declined."

The experts:
"The honest "truth" is that no one knows what effect global warming is having on tornado intensity. Tornado records are not accurate enough to tell whether tornado intensity has changed over time."

The experts also writes
"That said, some high-profile scientists are misleading the American public about what is, and is not, known about global warming and tornadoes. "

and then give a single example in the text. I don't believe it is a far stretch to believe that one of the high-profile scientists where actually Pielke.

May as well post something about the Arctic Vortex;

Visual representations of current global temperatures are provided by NOAA's Earth Systems Research Laboratory. I think this pic will update automatically but at the time of posting it shows "Arctic" air over much of the US, which of course came from somewhere -- note unseasonably warm temperatures over northern Alaska and eastern Siberia. These maps are one-day temperatures (top) and temperature anomalies (bottom).

Thanks for the follow-up Chiloe. I was not aware of current temps up north but I figured it might fit in if all of this is real. :>)

Why do post propaganda that is outta date and forecasted a month ago.

Those who can read better than Rick Poedtke may notice that the NOAA temperature maps I posted are not propaganda, not outta date, and not forecasted. His self-righteous post does show a forecast for some reason.

That last NOAA chart still shows warmer trading places with colder. Looks to be warmer north of Alaska into Siberia.

That video is hilariously stupid, isn't it Chief. Unfortunately for you, a denier put it together to debunk realists.

Meanwhile, you need to explain why you think Chiloe's graphs are forecasts.

Do you think you can manage that?

BTW, Chiloe's one-day anomaly shows most of north america in extreme cold, just like your forecast. What was your point again?

Larry Hamilton, you definitely are blind.

Take a good look at what dates your posted data are "VALID" for. The one below expires tonight at midnight and was published the first week of NOVEMBER.

30 Day Mean for: Thu NOV 07 2013 - Fri Dec 06 2013

Dang you are stupid, Chief.

Larry, are those Cascade glaciers right next to the Himalayan glaciers set to vanish by 2035? Is it the same researcher that authored Himalayan prediction? Sorry to see your sorry ass got busted on a month old forecast. You really should stick to snow making machine sales.

Norton, i'll conclude my little reality discussion in my own good time. Don't expect a point by point refutation of religious climate dogma- it's bullshet and it's proponents are either greedy opportunists, ideological sympathizers, or so far over the edge that no argument, no matter how clear cut, could ever penetrate the cellophane bubble wrap around their heads.
