Here's what I was posting in response to Donini, and when the page refreshed the thread was gone...

Like the text in the closing credits,

I think I got the last response- perhaps the one which made T*R delete that post!

T*R, love ya babe, no offense was meant. All I said was that I wasn't going to click your link to watch the preview based strictly on the response from others on the thread.....I mean, if YOU liked it, that should be great for you: and I appreciate you wanting to share.

Certainly spotlights that the forum can use kind Lynn™™ and sweet Neebee™™ to keep it gentle, warm and inclusive. I apologize for being coarse .......again.

hey there coachmaster, say, just stepped in to see the link....

say, you had some kind things to say, here, yourself, too...
by letting t*r know that you had some kindness for her, too, in the long run...

wow, as we learn so very often, behind the "tough ol' testesterone" (did i spell that right?)----well, there is the climber-hearts of gold...

just like diamonds, they just need a little "dusting off" at times (being that keeping themselve in "diamond-in-the-rough mode" hides their shine, just a mite)....

Eh, it looks well put together at least, but to be honest with you, movies like that, and Schindler's List, and Milk, and Million Dollar Baby are kind of annoying. You can't make those movies wrong. Movie about an overweight pregnant teenager overcoming - well, I just watched it by reading the title. Movie about a gay politician who was murdered - ugh. Not to say these movies aren't good, its just that they are cheap and a dime a dozen.

There's nothing to learn from watching them. Its overly sentimental hype, playing with motif's that make people who are better off than those in the movie cry. poo hoo.

Ill finish up by leaving you with a counerexample. Reservoir dogs, a movie about a robbery after the robbery, in a warehouse. Sounds boring as sh#t. It surely was not. When you have a sappy story you don't need to try hard to sell it. Sometimes forcing yourself into a corner makes you have to write yourself out - something I don't think a lot of these screenwriters are willign to do.

Pearls Before Swine is only 5.9, and is a couple miles north of St. George (they've actually cleaned up the area a bunch since I put it up).

So anyway, is THIS the Whines Of Steal thread?
