When Craig was writing the article for that Climbing issue with Lucille on the cover, we had some interesting conversations.

He had a lot of dirt that I would not have expected him to know about, that would have sold a lot of magazines. Out of respect, and a comittment to journalistic integrity, he did not choose to share this stuff with the outer world. That was a class act move, on his part, and I respect him for that.

Another Classic Steve and quite frankly an area where I really struggle Pun intended! My last battle was the Northwest Corner Grade III 5.9 on North Early Winter Spire WA, although not quite vertical it was a real battle working the arm bars and once my forearm started to run with blood, I couldn't get good elbow friction. I probably looked like a wet cat thrown in a gunny sack! I have watch good offwidth climbers at Vedauwoo and it is like an art form!

Thanks again,
Thor

This is all around too cool. Great thread. I've never like OW's before but I'm starting to think... Must be the statute of limitations on my memory.

Cheers,

Craig was a really great friend, and is still sorely missed.

More than a great climber, he was a trustworthy human being with a truly warm heart.

For God's sake Steve quit trying to fill the front page with climbing threads! What do you think this is a climbing website?

Thanks for the bump! Reading about offwidths has made my eyes hurt, I'm not sure if it's the fuzzy scan, or the subject matter.
