This is a great article. I remember when it came out and it was a huge inspiration to me as a kid in high school. I wonder how many hours I spent looking at the article. Cool to see the number/estimated number of ascents of each route at the time.

There was another article, in Climbing or Rock and Ice, that came out a little while after this article, and it had some of the newer routes listed, like Heartland. There was at least one photo of El Cap, with lines drawn on the photo in red/pink. Don’t remember the author. Which article am I thinking of?
