For whatever reason our nature will not be serving bait this year at Facelift, so I will host MeatFest.
The bill of fare will include steak, burgers, dogs and since you know how sensitive i am, veggie burgers. Probably have baked beans, salad and bread to round it out.
When: Saturday night September 26, 2009. Feeding starts at 6:30
Where: Sentinel Beach, More scenic than Yellow Pines
Cost: Nothing, donation jar for YCA at the BBQ
Please RSVP so I know how much to buy. RSVP by 9/23

P.S. Our T-Shirt will read............"MeatFest 2009......I was there with Dick Cheney". Still a good chance he's showing.

Saturday night the 26th is also the night of the El Portal autumn dance/fundraiser, which is quite a big event. Those interested could go to meatfest, and then to El Portal later for music and dancing.

There is also going to be music in front of the Visitor Center from 5:00 - 9:00 on the 26th. There will be a lot of options that night. I will get an evening schedule together once I get all the confirmations.

NPS wanted us at Sentinel for cooking and Ken is bringing in a grill. Chicken..................maybe, more messy. Yes, MeatFest is scary, but you know I'm evil.

The local Fish and Game has a feast that included Javalina, Zebra, Deer, Goat, Mtn Sheep, Steelhead and Pike.
Just jerking you chain. I'd love to come, but won't be able to.

Thanks for offering up your meat Jeff, you're a good guy. My schedule is up in the air these days, but I sure would like to be there. If I can I'll RSVP, but if I can't thanks for offering anyways.
